About Bellflower Behavioral Health

One Mission. One Team. One You.

Los Angeles Community Hospital at Bellflower is a behavioral health hospital that provides screening, admitting, inpatient treatment and follow-up care services. Our 32-bed inpatient behavioral health facility focuses on providing care for adults who voluntarily seek services for mental health conditions, such as depression or substance abuse.

At Bellflower, we understand that true wellness is much more than physical well-being. One of our top priorities is providing solutions to mental and emotional health needs through a full continuum of mental health services and treatments—from family and individual counseling to inpatient care. Program components include case management, family intervention, recreational therapy, music therapy, and education.

Led by Administrator Thomas Purkiss, our recently remodeled and renovated facility is helping address the growing need for mental health and addiction services in the region. The hospital is directly affiliated with Los Angeles Community Hospitals in Los Angeles and Norwalk, as well as their extensive network of medical staff, advanced medical services, and insurance contracts. We are uniquely placed to serve the mental health needs of individuals in Orange and Los Angeles Counties.

We are part of one of the largest behavioral health network in Southern California with more than 160 beds in Bellflower, Culver City, and Van Nuys, in addition to Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs at Van Nuys and Culver City and medical detoxification at Miracles Detox at Culver City. Our facility is conveniently located between the 605 and 710 freeways, as well as close to the 405 and 91 freeways.
